The Annoying Traffic

Traffic in Pune is annoying. You know back in America a traffic JAM on the way to work is only sometimes . But here it is the total opposite. And on top of this jam is that the entrance to MY apartment complex is all bumpy and rocky and dirty and ......... that's all I got. The entrance is still developing , but not fast! The monsoon rain just started so the entrance is all muddy and flooding. Here in Pune monsoon rains flood almost every road in the city, and of course it becomes EXTREMELY muddy.
And here's something that will blow your head. So let's say someone is going to work on his motorbike. He looks down and sees the road flooding 3 inches high, he will say " Look's like another normal day!" Well, not for me. People who live in India have past many years, each year having one monsoon season.Wait I totally went off the topic when I started nagging about the apartment complex entrance.Lets go back to the traffic. Here there are more people, but less space...not good. That's why most people have scooters or motorcycles. Cars take up more space. There are more motorbikes than cars. The motorbikes cause problems.MANY problems. First of all there is a lot of traffic. Then all motorcycles squeeze in the spaces between the cars which makes even more traffic. They can even make a scrape on car. And the people on bicycles don't follow the cycle lanes if there even is one, and when they are on public road they have to be careful. But they don't . Yesterday a cyclist crashed on the side of our car
because he wasn't looking forward. Sometimes they make me so mad. Another problem is that any cow, bull, buffalo, camel, even elephant can cross the road. That causes a lot of traffic jam! So when the circus comes you'll see quite a lot of elephants going on the road like a car or something. But what is good instead of paying money to go to a zoo ,you get to watch a elephant or camel on the road for free! And don't even get me started with the stray dogs.
There are not enough traffic signs, I believe that's why the traffic police are for. But I haven't seen a police guiding people. If a person passes a red light they just sit in the shade and chit chat to their friends! And when they are done they stop some random person! I don't know why they do that. But after some days I think I will get used to this chaos!!!
