It is an FPS game, and man, is this game good! It has smooth and amazing graphics and animations, detailed textures, little to zero lag, wide variety of weapons, and balanced difficulty. And dinosaurs! Who doesn't like dinosaurs in their full prehistoric glory! Get ready to hear some RAWR!!
There are two things that I like best about this game. First, is the wide variety of the dinosaurs themselves. Children have been always shown a few over-used and mainstream dinosaurs, such as T-Rex, stegosaurus, triceratops, and "brontosaurus". Now I don't want to a big downer, but stegosaurus had a brain the size of a walnut, scientists think triceratops maybe were just babies of another dinosaur species, "brontosaurus" isn't even a real dinosaur, and T-Rex probably couldn't even run. So much for "tyrant lizard king". But this game shows a new set of awesome dinosaurs. Kids that now probably just loved tyrannosaurus, now can find out about the meat-eating deinonychus, carnotaurus, guanlong, monolophosaurus and more!! It introduces more dinosaurs to the players, and perhaps even inspire them to research more about the dinosaurs, expanding their knowledge. I'm not saying this game is educational, though. But, of course, you can still find stegosaurus, T-Rex, and velociraptors in the game. So rest easy if you couldn't pronounce deinonychus.
Second, is the well-balanced rewards given and prices. The prices for the weapons increase as you go into more regions and hunt more exotic dinosaurs. So do the rewards you get from each hunting mission. The main currency is cash, with gold as a more valuable form of currency. Gold can be bought with real money, or through leveling up and watching free videos. They can used to buy very cool and exotic weapons, and speed up most processes in the game. As you move on to new regions, the rewards increase, as the missions become harder and upgrades for new weapons are more costly. In the mission, if you make specific shots (head shot, lung shot, heart shot) an amount of cash is added to the initial reward. Also, if you succeed in killing a trophy dinosaur, the reward is much more than a normal mission. The money is fairly given throughout the game, the only thing that you can't buy with cash, is buying the exotic and a few other weapons with gold.
This game would have been a full 5 stars if it weren't for this one thing. A very minor setback is that sometimes a dinosaur is first standing very close to the player, making it almost impossible to kill. Usually the dinosaur will take more than one shot to kill. So just one shot, and the dinosaur is already on you and you're dead, wasting some of your energy. A VERY minor setback, and does not affect too much.
Overall, this game is highly recommended by me! Very fun and not too hard, an (almost) perfect dinosaur game. Keep in mind the Age rating. Hope this review was helpful!
